About Against All Odds
Our Mission
Our mission at Against All Odds is to provide the youth who believe they have no voice the strength to speak up for their rights, worth, and story. We provide youth with opportunities to reunify, grow, and build healthy lasting relationships with adults committed to fighting for their voices to be heard. At Against All Odds, we are a family of adults and youth striving to utilize modern therapeutic techniques including harm reduction, staff to client relationships, and building a positive relationship amongst our youth and the community in which they are residing. Against All Odds isn't just cases for the staff, but rather a community of youth who have made these connections through years in the system. Instead of "keeping them away from the chaos" Against All Odds embraces it. With team members who have been in the system before, we are a service that gives youth a home away from home. We offer a more moderate and innovative way for the youth to seek positive validation. Against All Odds provides the youth that were once labeled "bad" an opportunity to join a team and community of youth striving to do better. With hiccups along the way, youth will have a team of trusted adults to advocate and aid them when leaving the highest level of services.
I am committed to the underdogs- the young people who felt lost or unsure of their place. Having faced similar challenges myself, I believe in building a family and team that never gives up. Proving doubters wrong has been my story, and now, I'm here to help others write theirs.

Jessica (she/her) is he proud founder of Against All Odds — a company dedicated to providing case management and support services for youth and young adults navigating the system. Guided by the belief that every individual has the power to change their story, the company’s slogan, "Proving them wrong one story at a time," reflects the heart of everything they do.
Jessica holds a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from Sacramento State University and will be beginning a Master’s in Social Work at Arizona State University this fall. Her academic journey is fueled by a deep passion for advocacy, empowerment, and the belief that every young person deserves a chance to thrive, no matter their starting point.
Her professional path is deeply personal. Having overcome challenges with addiction and mental health, Jessica proudly celebrates three years of sobriety this year. Her recovery has been powered not only by strong support systems but also by the discipline and strength she found through physical fitness. A former college athlete and now an Ironman competitor — most recently completing the 2024 Santa Cruz 70.3 Ironman — Jessica knows firsthand that perseverance, grit, and hope are the foundations of lasting change.
In addition to her professional work, Jessica is a foster parent to a teenager currently in the system. This role offers her a firsthand understanding of the unique challenges and potential each young person holds, further deepening her commitment to making a real, lasting impact.
At Against All Odds, Jessica brings lived experience, professional knowledge, and an unwavering belief in resilience to every young person served. Her journey is proof that with the right support, no odds are too great to overcome.

Alyson (she/her) serves as the Executive Assistant and Case Manager at Against All Odds, bringing over nine years of experience in the mental health field. Passionate about advocacy and empowerment, Alyson has dedicated her career to supporting individuals who may not always have a voice.

Alyson (she/her) serves as the Executive Assistant and Case Manager at Against All Odds, bringing over nine years of experience in the mental health field. Passionate about advocacy and empowerment, Alyson has dedicated her career to supporting individuals who may not always have a voice.
Prior to joining Against All Odds, Alyson worked as an STRTP Administrator at a non-profit organization, providing care and support to foster youth and survivors of human trafficking. She recently expanded her professional focus by transitioning into case management for adults, broadening her expertise across multiple populations.
Holding a degree in Social and Behavioral Sciences, Alyson approaches her work with a strong commitment to harm reduction and relationship-building strategies. Through overcoming her own personal challenges — proudly celebrating five years of sobriety in March 2025 — she brings both lived experience and professional insight to her role. Her personal mission is to be the adult she once needed during her own journey.
Outside of work, Alyson enjoys expressing herself through art, music, and graphic design, using creativity as a tool for healing and self-expression. Through her work at Against All Odds, she continues to embody resilience, compassion, and hope — helping to change one life a time.
